about

Children are fascinating. They run, scream, move fast, show a lot of emotion and have wild ideas. You know when you look at an image that the moment was caught. Choosing to photograph them was a leap of faith but truly gratifying.

Adopting 2 children from China has inspired me to photograph kids for clients that range from catalog to advertising. They can be a strong emotion illicitor, especially when all of the image elements come together with the perfect expression.

So if you want to know about the guy with the camera, here it is. At age 14, a Polaroid camera and tons of film made my career choice easy. After college and shooting thousands of images professionally for others, 1993 was the year to go at it on my own. Products, corporate, advertising, editorial and of course kids have been the last 15 years. I believe in collaboration, pushing the envelope and intuition to make images the best they can be. Giving back includes using the talent God gave me to help the people of a remote village in Haiti. The images you see here of Haitian children have been published in a book to help finance a medical center. If you want a new perspective on life, visit a third world country.

In 2008, with recent technology advances, I have moved into the motion arena. I think it's amazing to be able to capture a range of emotions and put it into a moving story.
